I really was inspired by both a football coach I had when I was fourteen and a PE teacher from my secondary school. I am a believer that children can be inspired by role models and I think that was the case for me. I started helping my dads friends coach, an U8's football team when I was 16 and the passion sprouted from there.

Active Play Education or All4Sports as it was then was formed in 2008.

Erm... good question haha... I asked my 5 year old daughter this and received the reply " Setting up toys and games" and "Making sure everyone is ok."

My role involves a bit of everything, no two days are ever the same and I quite like it like that!

I think I can answer this by a phrase I came across quite early on with working with children so I will leave this here:

"Every child deserves a champion - an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists the best they can possibly be"

There are some really great coaching and childcare companies out there. I think that variety is really key in helping with a child's confidence amongst other things. I like to think that we really embody the word "Play" at Active Play Education. Giving children from different ages, needs and backgrounds the chance to play and attempt different activities and challenges along the way.

We are always thinking of different ways to enhance children's enjoyment when with us. Whether that's planning activities to suit or looking at our games and food menus.  Always Looking to install new levels of confidence and understanding within our settings. Our staff are absolutely fantastic and always willing to help and encouraging / praising  children wherever possible.
